Class Descriptions:
Arthritic Pool Exercise: This clas is designed for those that suffer from arthritis or any ailment that prevenst them from engaging in weight bearing exercises. This instructor led class will help you limber up for ease of movement.
Aqua Aerobics: A 60-minute water class that incorporates exercise and fun. The instructor will lead you through an energetic class using "weights" and belts.
Aqua Jog: This is a class designed on RUNNING! In this class, participants will run. Come enjoy the benefits of running in the water and relive those joints of the impact of running up on dry land. This class will alternate between shallow and deep water. Swimming experience is not required, floatation devices may be used.
Cardio Kick Box: Jump, squat, and punch your way through the water. Shallow end workout that will put a "punch" into your day.
Deep Water Aerobics: Exercise in deep water with a total body work out. A great class for toning the tummy, legs, and upper-body while conditioning the cardio vascular and respiratory systems.
Open Lap: Six lanes are open for lap swimmers. Lap swimming is great exercise for the entire body.
Open Swim: A popular splash and swim time in the pool. A great opportunity for children and adults to play in the pool! Lap lanes will be put in at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty. Swim test is required to swim past the safety rope.
Power Walking: Did you know that a 45-minute cardio workout is equal to a 3-hour walk on land? Alternating walking and jogging while incorporating interval training. Various equipment is also used to build upper body strength and toning!
Power Walking 2: Same as above, just more intense and for 60 minutes.
Seniorcise: A group exercise class for our senior population. Participants engage in a warm up, resistance workout, and stretch in the shallow end of the pool. You don't need to know how to swim for this class.
Teen Aqua Boot Camp: Just for teens ages 13-17. Get yourself moving with a cardio workout all to the beat of popular music. You will use noodles, weights, and barbells in a boot camp setting.
Totally Toned and Tightened: Challenge your muscles whie using the water's natural resistance. Join us for strengthening and conditioning exercises in the pool. This total-body workout will improve overall muscle strength and toning.
