Our Mission

The Piscataquis Regional YMCA is dedicated to promoting healthy spirit, mind, and body through programs and services grounded in Christian Heritage and the Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.


Code of Conduct

Members and program participants are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. The following guidelines have been developed to help make YMCA programs safe and enjoyable for all participants. Additional rules may be in effect for particular programs and athletic leagues as deemed necessary.

Participants shall:

  • Show respect to all participants and staff
  • Refrain from using foul language
  • Refrain from causing bodily harm to other participants and staff
  • Show respect for equipment, supplies and facilities
  • The Piscataquis Regional YMCA reserves the right to revoke membership privileges. Each situation will be evaluated on its own merit. The PR YMCA is a non-proftit 501c(3)charitable organization. We do not turn anyone away due to the inability to pay. Please see our scholarship program for more informtion.






    Youth Usage Policy

    Age Requirements: Children age 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Permission to use certain areas within the facilities, according to age, is as follows:

    Health & Wellness Center: Children up to age 13 must be directly supervised by an adult at all times. Age 14 and up are allowed to use equipment on their own only after completing an equipment orientation by appointment with a PRYMCA staff person. Those 15 years of age and over may utilize the facilities alone. Equipment orientations are not required for any/all members age 15 and older but are highly encouraged.

    Pools: Any child age 7 or under, or any non-swimmer, must be accompanied and within arms reach of an adult in the water. Non-swimmers must stay in the shallow end; a swim test is required for use of the deep end. A lifeguard may administer a swim test at any time if he/she feels it is deemed necessary. *Lap swimming is open to ages 14 and up only.

    Wallyball/Racquetball Court: Children ages 11 and up who are full PRYMCA members may also reserve and use the racquetball court.

    Group Exercise Areas: Children ages 11-13 may participate in general group exercise classes when accompanied by an adult; ages 14 and up may participate in these classes on their own. Note: general group exercise classes are free only to Full PRYMCA Members.
