Wicked Good Cooking Contest Guideline, 2007

All food products entered must be cooked in accordance with safe food preparation techniques and be prepared offsite.  As some of the attendees may be allergic to one or more particular ingredients in your dish, each contestant must send in a recipe with the entry form. The recipe will be kept confidential and only viewed by the “Wicked Good Cooking Contest” Committee members. Labels will be made by a committee member for your table including only the ingredients, but not the amounts or preparation techniques.  All desserts must be prepared from scratch.  A minimum of 50 servings per dish are required to participate. Hot desserts must be at serving temperature by 5:45 p.m. on October 20, 2007.  All contestants are required to bring their own cooking source and cooking utensils. Outlets will be provided for each dessert contestant if required. Cups, napkins and utensils for serving will be provided by the PRYMCA. Contestants will be given 6 oz. cups or small plates to serve the ticket holders/voters.

Judging will be performed by the ticket holders.  All entries will be judged for originality and taste.  At the end of the event, the money in your basket will be counted and the winners will be announced for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.  Each contestant will be provided a voting basket for their table.  Ticket holders/voters will use a $1.00 bill to judge and select their choices.  Ticket holders/voters are not limited to voting for one contestant.  Contestants are not allowed to vote for other contestants or themselves.

Contestants are encouraged to decorate their area in a theme conducive to their entry, the PRYMCA staff will vote on the best decorated table and the winner will receive a free one year membership to the Y.

Registration deadline is October 12, 2007.
